- Is it safe to trade on Gozo?
Security of users' digital assets and information is of paramount importance to us. We employ only the very best practices in advanced security technologies. Gozo uses the Multi-Sig technology to the hot wallet, where only a very small portion of digital assets is kept, while the majority is safely stored offline, in cold storage.
- What is a cryptocurrency?
A cryptocurrency is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure its transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.
Bitcoin and its derivatives use decentralized control related to the use of blockchain transaction database in the role of a distributed ledger. Decentralization means that the system is peer-to-peer – all transactions take place without an intermediary, between users directly.
Cryptocurrencies are mostly pseudonymous – their owners are not explicitly identified. Each balance is simply associated with an address and its public-private key pair. The money "belongs" to anyone who has the private key and can sign transactions with it.
There are over 1600 digital currencies in existence. These are frequently called altcoins (bitcoin alternatives).
- What is EURS (STASIS EUR stable coin)?
EURS token is a digital asset that is designed to digitally mirror the EURO on the condition that its value is tied to the value of its collateral. You can find more information here: https://stasis.net/

Security of users' virtual financial assets and information is of paramount importance to us. At the heart of Gozo's approach to security there is a fact that crypto currencies are fully segregated from trading framework, thus eliminating possible problems caused by blockchain.
Stable and rigorous infrastructure
Gozo utilizes EXANTE’s state-of-the-art technology, which has proven itself over the years. EXANTE’s next generation platform and its fast and durable API are extremely stable and have never been hacked in over 8 years.
We encrypt all private keys with AES-256 and store them offline.
We keep the majority of our clients' funds in cold storage with multisignature technology. Cold storage provides an invaluable security measure against theft or loss. On average, only about 2% of crypto assets are managed in hot storage for withdrawal/deposit purposes.
Advanced distributed system architecture built to protect against DDoS ensures that trading cannot be halted by outside attacks.
We use a cryptographic hash function towards all passwords as required by modern standards.
Every user account requires 2FA as it adds extra layer of security to protect sensitive operations.
Order Types and durations
Gozo exchange provides several different order types and their durations, catering to individual preferences of the traders.
Market order buys or sells a currency immediately at the best available current price. Execution price of the market order may vary from current best price due to execution and feed delay or due to exceeding best offer volume. A large order can significantly impact an order book.
A limit order is an order to buy or sell a currency at a specific price or better. A buy limit order can only be executed at the limit price or lower, and a sell limit order can only be executed at the limit price or higher.
A good 'til canceled (GTC) order can be placed by an investor to buy or sell a currency that remains active until it is either rescinded by the investor or the trade is executed.
An immediate or cancel order (IOC) is an order to buy or sell a currency that must be executed immediately, and any portion of the order that cannot be immediately filled is cancelled.
